Think back to your childhood... Do you find yourself eating things that you ate while a kid? Remember …You are what your parents were when they trained you. Do you have your parents mannerisms, likes and dislikes? If you analyze yourself you will find that parents and grand parents have a major impact on how we eat as adults. But it's not all on them. As adults we need to make a life change on our own.
When I was growing up mom and dad would not let us have candy except on special occasions, and then only a little. I found myself telling my kids the same thing as they were growing up.
So the bottom line is that the example we give our children, like living a healthy life style will follow them into adulthood. If your children see you taking care of your body, they will want to do the same.
Stress the importance of a balanced life, rather than wanting to look like a cover model. Because I don't know about you, but I would rather be healthy as an ox without a beautiful body, than ill and beautiful. But in most cases, healthy people look healthy.
